Services

At Weldcraft Fabrication, we take on a wide variety of welding and fabrication projects, from equipment repairs to custom frames, prototypes and "one of a kind" ideas. Whether you need a fitting welded onto a housing, a damaged piece of equipment repaired, a custom aluminum or steel frame built, or you need a hundred or so brackets welded with a hole drilled in a specific spot, we enjoy figuring out how to make it work and are proud to do the job! If you have an idea, a repair, or just need something welded, Weldcraft can take it on.

We work with all common metals, steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, and can work with all grades and finishes. We handle everything from small repairs and quick fixes to custom built prototypes and more involved fabrication projects/displays.

We are a relatively small shop, and while that means we may not be the right fit for large scale production or operations, it allows us to focus on the individual customers who may have projects or welding service requests. We especially enjoy serving local small businesses and taking on the "man off the street" projects or jobs that may be too small for a large fabrication company. Weldcraft can do just about anything!

Even if it's one quick weld, we'll take the time to do it right, every time.

Bring us your project, drawing, idea, or even problem you are trying to solve. If it's metal and it needs to be welded or fabricated, Weldcraft Fabrication is the place!

What We Can Do

Welding
Sanding
Cutting
Bending
Drilling/Tapping

WELDING

We provide many welding services for a wide range of repair, fabrication, modification, and custom metalworking applications allowing us to select the appropriate welding process based on the material, application, thickness, and desired finish. Such as,

  • MIG (GMAW)
  • TIG (GTAW)
  • STICK (SMAW)
  • Spot Welding
  • Soldering/Brazing

SANDING

We provide metal sanding and weld finishing services to clean, shape, and refine fabricated or repaired projects. Weld beads can be ground down and blended into the surrounding material, while edges and surfaces can be shaped and smoothed as needed. We use high-quality abrasives and can finish surfaces down to 180-grit for a clean, uniform appearance.

Sanding and grinding are often some of the most time consuming parts of the fabrication process and require significant preparation before a finished weld or surface is ready. Please note that we do not provide polishing services, however we can prepare and finish metal surfaces to the desired level of sanding prior to painting, coating, or other finishing processes.

Cutting

While we do not specialize in high-volume production cutting or operate like metal suppliers, we can accommodate larger quantities within reason when the job and schedule allow. Please note we are only located in 1 building, and space is critical, so high volume or very large material cut requests will not be able to be taken on at this time.

We have the ability to cut all common metals. Our equipment includes a 4' metal shear, Vertical band saw, cold-cut saw, and drop saw, allowing us to handle everything from thin-gauge sheet metal and plate to tubing, structural material, and solid steel bar.

For applications requiring different cutting methods, we also provide plasma cutting and oxy-fuel flame cutting. Cutting capacity varies depending on the material, thickness, size, and cutting process required, but we are equipped to take on a wide range of jobs.

BENDING

Weldcraft Fabrication offers metal bending using a 50" (4') finger brake and an 8' hydraulic press. These allow us to bend a variety of materials and thicknesses, from thin 20-gauge sheet metal up to approximately 1/8" steel and 3/16" aluminum, depending on the material, bend, dimensions, and overall requirements of the job.

Bending is dependent on both the material type/thickness/grade and our machine(s) capabilities.

Drilling/Tapping/Mitering

We also offer drilling, punching, mitering and tapping for a variety of fabrication or repair applications. Our equipment consists of a 3-axis drill press and miter, magnetic drill, and metalworking machine, allowing us to produce everything from small precision holes to larger openings using hole saws or punches. We can also tap drilled holes to create internal threads for bolts or other hardware.

Capabilites

Weldcraft is a relatively small shop with a few solid employees, so scheduling and proper planning are important to being able to take on the job and get it done in a timely manner. Providing a description of your project, including the material, dimensions, quantities, drawings, and intended use, helps us determine the most appropriate processes, equipment, and approach before work begins.

Our cutting capabilities vary by material and process. Using our saws, we can typically cut materials up to approximately 1/4" thick. For heavier material, we can utilize plasma or flame cutting for thicknesses up to approximately 1–1/2", all depending on the material and specific requirements of the job.

For bending and forming, approximately 1/8" is typically the maximum thickness we can bend, depending on the length of bend, material, type of bend required and other dimensions. Most sheet-metal applications fall below this thickness and can be accommodated within our equipment capabilities.

For overall project size, we can accommodate fabrication and prototype work up to approximately a 25' square ft prototype(project), within reason and depending on the design, weight, and equipment required. Larger or unusually complex projects may require additional planning or alternative arrangements.

All capabilities and scheduling requirements will be discussed during the initial quote. These guidelines are intended to provide a general idea of what our shop can accommodate, but every project is evaluated individually. If you are curious about our capabilities and if we are a good fit for your project, please do not hesitate to call or email!
